Can you make _____ or embroider _____ onto my vest/cape?
The short answer, yes! We are always open to making things not on our website and recommend reaching out to us on instagram (@ryeandbarrel) or email (ryeandbarrel@gmail.com) for any custom requests not available on our website. When it comes to embroidery, we are able to embroider virtually anything on a vest/cape. Additional charges may apply for intricate or complex embroidery. If you're not sure, feel free to send us a message an we can always confirm with you.
Is your gear safe for mobility?
Potentially, yes!
Our harnesses can certainly be used for light mobility. This includes counterbalance, forward momentum, grounding, guide work etc. I absolutely do not recommend heavy mobility of any kind which includes any type of bracing or heavy downward pressure on your dog. If you are unsure if your gear is safe for the mobility work you would like to do, I recommend taking your harness to your vet to confirm proper fit and safety. I do not support the misuse of service dog equipment for heavyweight and potentially dangerous mobility.

When your order is placed it will remain "awaiting processing" until we are ready to work on your order. When your order status is switched to "Processing", you can expect your order to be completed within a week to two weeks. For harness orders, we will only reach out for questions regarding the order if there is any confusion with the order information or if anything needs clarification. Otherwise, when your order is completed you will receive photos (via instagram if handle isa provided) and a tracking number will be sent to your email.
For orders requiring mock ups (vests, capes, and zipper pouches) once your order is processing your will receive a message to your instagram if a handle is provided (otherwise an email will be sent) with your mock up. I allow for as many revisions as necessary to achieve the exact desired design. Once the design is finalized the order will be stitched out and finished.

Nearly every single item offered on our website is completely and 100% custom. Refunds will not be permitted on custom orders. This includes vests, capes, harnesses, collars, leashes, and patches. If for any reason there is a sizing issue that is my error I will happily remake your order to correct any mistake of my making. If incorrect sizing is provided I am unable to offer refunds on such orders but can offer a discount for a reorder in the correct measurements. I must stress how important it is to measure your dog correctly, I am always available to help with any questions regarding measuring. If there is any error on my part I must be notified within 3 days of receiving your custom gear so that we can work together to correct any mistakes on our part. Providing incorrect sizing will not be covered as it is not an error on my part. I MUST be notified that there is a problem within 3 days of receiving the order so please let me know as quickly as possible. If I am not notified within 3 days of an error on my part, I cannot remake or resize an order free of charge.
Order cancellations and refunds are not permitted. Due to the nature of our business we are constantly ordering supplies for new custom orders received and thus cannot cancel orders before they are started. If any aspect of the order has been started (mock up sent to customer, harness straps cut/embroidered, vest/cape panels embroidered) refunds will NOT be permitted. If a mock up has been sent out, not yet confirmed, and requires additional adjustments, refunds will not be permitted regardless of the time it takes to achieve the desired design because of the many rounds of revision required. I allow as many revisions as needed to make the design absolutely perfect. These mock ups do take time especially after many revisions which is why this policy is in place. PLEASE NOTE: Every single item that comes out of our shop is 100% handmade. Small imperfections will occur from time to time which is to be expected from handmade items. I strive to make sure every single item that comes out of the shop is as perfect as possible, however, refunds/returns will not be permitted due to small imperfections. This can include small wrinkles, embroidery jump stitches, small embroidery imperfections, visible stitching/threads etc. Please understand that these are just things that can occur when ordering a completely handmade item and refunds/returns will not be permitted due to any of these reasons.
One more important mention is this shop is run by a disabled individual. As a disabled person it must be fully understood that I will have good days and bad days and this will effect completion dates provided. I do everything within my power to keep production going but some days it is out of my control. I hugely appreciate everyone's understanding and ask that if you do order from my shop that you keep this in mind. Thank you!

We ship primarily using USPS priority mail (2-3 day delivery). Small packages with patches and other small items will be shipped with USPS first-class mail unless otherwise requested. We do not ship out packages every day of the week but do ship try to ship at least 2 days a week. Once your order is complete you will receive an email containing your tracking. Please make sure to monitor the email used to place the order as your tracking will be sent there. Because I do not drop off packages every day you may receive your tracking email but the tracking may not update for another 2-4 days. Please be aware of this when waiting for your tracking numbers to update and give them ample time to update before contacting me about tracking. International packages are also shipped using USPS and sometimes UPS and can often times take up to 4-5 weeks for delivery. It is the buyer's responsibility to cover any and all import and customs fee that may result. We cannot ship any international orders as gifts to avoid customs fees. Rye & Barrel is not responsible for any packages lost in transit or packages stolen if left outside. All packages come with insurance to make sure if the package is lost in transit the USPS will cover the value of the order.
